This position will be responsible for maintaining and implementing payment policies for inpatient hospital services. This position will direct the work of a contracted vendor to establish payment rates for inpatient hospital services delivered by all non-state-owned hospital types including, general hospitals, critical access hospitals, children’s hospitals and long-term hospitals. In coordination with MN.IT staff, this position will ensure that rate setting calculations are correctly programmed into the claims payment system. This position will also work closely with financial staff at Minnesota hospitals to identify and resolve any issues with payment rates.

Three (3) years of experience with Health Care Programs demonstrating the following: • Experience in preparing or using Medicare Cost Report forms or applying the principles used in completing Cost Reports OR Experience in setting complex or cost-based health care payment rates. • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing state and federal health care program payment policy requirements
