***This posting is in at the Brainerd Central Office location*** This position is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating the most complex phases of DHS policy and system education. Drawing on extensive experience with large-scale and boutique public health care programs, the Trainer and Education Specialist will tailor learning solutions to a diverse audience. Responsibilities include: • Implement training for new, intermediate, and experienced eligibility workers related to Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP), service delivery, and systems. • Establish and oversee continuous quality improvement processes for operational workflows, curriculum development, and training programs. • Serve as a business professional on internal and external initiatives involving HCCS systems, eligibility processes, and benefit delivery including care coordination. • Proactively engage in special assignments as directed by leadership to consistently embody and communicate the DHS mission, vision, and values to our stakeholders.

• Three years of experience advising and determining eligibility for participants in Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP), coupled with extensive knowledge of the Minnesota Eligibility Technology System (METS), MMIS, and MAXIS. • Experience providing training, mentoring, lead work, facilitating group presentations or similar audience-based demonstrations. • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely. *** Bachelor’s degree in human services, business, healthcare or related field may substitute for one year of experience.
