*It is the policy of the Department of Human Services that the individual awarded this position successfully complete a Fingerprinting check (MNJIS/CJIS). *This position is eligible for telework for applicants who reside in Minnesota or in a bordering state, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. If you live in a state bordering Minnesota, you must live within 50 miles or less from the primary work location to be eligible for telework. The Associate Product Manager assists in the development and maintenance of products that deliver measurable value to customers and stakeholders alike. Contributing to the end-to-end product development lifecycle, the Associate Product Manager helps to ensure high-quality, timely delivery that aligns with product line objectives and guiding principles — while championing a consistent, intuitive user experience. Success in this role depends on building strong stakeholder relationships, fostering collaboration, and rallying support across the organization for the product's direction. The ideal Associate Product Manager models a collaborative, innovative working style — encouraging cross-functional teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning rooted in product management best practices. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Collaborating across roles and disciplines to develop solutions that meet user needs and support product goals. • Setting and pursuing clear priorities that contribute to the product's long-term value. • Generating user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation required to translate business needs into product features. • Researching and validating potential product enhancements. • Collaborating with Design, Legal, and Policy teams to ensure the product is in-line with all relevant statutes, regulations, and rules while still meeting user and business needs. • Participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, product demos, and retrospectives to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery. • Navigating trade-off conversations with technical teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to reach workable, well-informed solutions. • Incorporating user research, usability testing, and data analysis into decision-making. • Communicating product updates and roadmap to stakeholders, leadership, and partners.
**To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.** Three (3) years of experience in product management, service design, business analysis, program management, or a related field. Experience must demonstrate the following: • Understanding of product management practices, such as product lifecycle management, roadmapping, user-centered design, backlog management, and/or iterative delivery. • Use of Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies. • Experience working with Salesforce.
