The Information Governance Specialist will provide information governance support for the Department of Human Services (DHS) Disability Services Division (DSD). The incumbent will manage the division’s records retention schedule and infrastructure, provide operational support to division program integrity efforts and coordinate data requests. Responsibilities include: • Lead and coordinate DSD’s records retention program by maintaining the division’s master retention inventory, guiding business areas through scheduled review and purging cycles, and ensuring consistent application of retention schedules and compliance requirements. Develop and update procedures and training, facilitate a cross-functional retention workgroup, and serve as DSD’s primary liaison to ADSA and other DHS partners to support alignment with enterprise records management standards. • Provide the core infrastructure for DSD’s program integrity response work by keeping documentation, tracking systems, and workflow processes organized, compliant, and current. It manages shared records, supports litigation hold requirements, maintains templates and shared tools, and coordinates communication workflows to ensure accuracy and alignment across program integrity activities. • Coordinate DSD’s internal response process for data requests and federal subpoenas by collaborating with the Data Request Unit and Office of Inspector General. Provide direction, technical assistance, and oversight to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant collection, organization, and initial processing of records.

OR Bachelor’s degree in related field and 2 years of advanced technical or paraprofessional experience Experience must include the following: • Interpreting and applying data privacy laws, records retention requirements, and organizational policies to ensure compliance • Analyzing complex requests, determining appropriate response pathways, and collaborating with legal and program staff to resolve issues • Developing procedures, training, and workflow improvements while coordinating records retention activities and supporting cross-functional stakeholders
