***This position is eligible for telework for applicants who reside in Minnesota or in a bordering state, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. If you live in a state bordering Minnesota, you must live within 50 miles or less from the primary work location to be eligible for telework.*** This position exists to provide quality assurance oversight of fiscal operations, data reporting, and compliance for allocations and grants managed by the Grants and Allocations Unit. The role ensures adherence to internal policies, state and federal regulations, promotes audit readiness, mitigates financial risk, and provides training and technical support for the Enterprise Grant Management System (EGMS) and Interface Warrant Processing System (IWP). Responsibilities include but may not be limited to: • Conduct quality assurance monitoring of fiscal operations, allocations, and reporting to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and grant requirements. • Provide technical guidance and oversee the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures to support compliance and continuous improvement. • Oversee and support financial and grant management systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and effective user support. • Maintain and organize fiscal documentation to support audit readiness and ensure compliance with internal, state, and federal requirements. • Review outgoing emails in the shared inbox to ensure timely response and completion.

Experience must demonstrate: • Grants management and grant accounting expertise, with strong knowledge of grant compliance requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Advanced skill in process improvement and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build efficient, scalable, and repeatable financial workflows. • Ability to support and guide audits and financial reviews, including responding to complex inquiries to ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards. • Strong technical and analytical capabilities, including proficiency with complex spreadsheets, databases, and innovative tools that improve accuracy and efficiency. • Ability to analyze complex fiscal data, identify risks or issues, and implement effective solutions, with exceptional organizational and communication skills. * Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance or related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional experience.
